i have friendships that are tidal.
life pulls at us and phone calls don’t get made as often. children are taller when dinner plans are texted back and forth to completion. but we find our high-water mark and begin the filling up that comes with easy conversation and being known well.
rubber band love keeps drawing us back to each other. born of past connection unbroken. hearts that want the best for and see the best in.
and other meeting together?
- this weekly walking in to shed the weight of the world and look to those pointing out direction and reasons and back story.
- doors quietly closed to the clamor and tug of doing life.
- crackers and poured out grapes transforming from snack to this on holy ground reminder of life given for mine.
- worship welcomed by my and savior’s heart. it fills me to love overflowing.
at times the tide is out. like this season of fever after fever and not goings.
when stewardship of our life requires the right choice to do until done.
when god beckons to keep moving. rest will come in time.
there is pouring out and filling back up.
ebb and flow. tide low and high.
“…not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
