calling (7.10am)

there is calling…

drawn to.

supposed to.

meant to.

made to.

told to.

….

it is on other side of fence with freedom to see yourself there.

it stirs and swirls inside of you, sometimes even choking with the whole of it.

you held back from more than hands wrapped round, face and mind pressed toward until gate swings open.

….

but in meantime.

in waiting and wondering if,

know there is heart and mind and life seeding-watering-warmth for readiness.

ill-fitting armor will be set aside for smooth stepping stones when time is right for running to.

meantime

…and he said, “the lord has not chosen this one either.” thus jesse made seven of his sons pass before samuel. but samuel said to jesse, “the lord has not chosen these.” and samuel said to jesse, “are these all the children?” and he said, “there remains yet the youngest, and behold, he is tending the sheep.” then samuel said to jesse, “send andbring him; for we will not sit down until he comes here.”

so he sent and brought him in. now he was ruddy, with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. and the lord said, “arise, anoint him; for this is he.” then samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the spirit of the lord came mightily upon david from that day forward….

…..

david was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned forty years.
